More fests! Annecy, Stuttgart, Atalanta, Ohio, and Ankara

I’m sorry I’ve been bad at updating this! Since my last post, ‘El Macho’ has screened in some more festivals:

Athens International Film and Video Festival (Ohio) 2012, Atlanta Film Festival 2012, Flying Broom International Women’s Film Festival (Turkey) 2012, and most recently Stuttgart International Animation Festival 2012. I recently came back from a lovely break at Stuttgart, where ‘El Macho’ screened in both the International Animation Competition and the Young Animation Competition.

I’m also thrilled to announce that ‘El Macho’ will be screening in June as part of Annecy 2012 official selection! Congratulations to everyone in the team!

Here are some of the character designs Marie-Margaux and I developed for the ‘Strawbale’ short posted below. We were close to running out of ways to draw pigs after number 40 :)

‘STRAWBALE’

I recently spent a fun and intense week designing and animating a short film with my friend Marie-Margaux Tsakiri-Scanatovits. It’s a short commissioned by Make and The University of Nottingham (directed by Sara Muzio and animated with the help of Francesca Adams and Richard Phelan) promoting it’s pre-fabricated strawbale building materials. Check it out!
